As we age, our lips lose volume and the area between the bottom of our nose and upper lip elongates.

Volume loss can be addressed with filler but the lengthening between the bottom of our nose and upper lip sometimes needs to be addressed with a minimally invasive procedure called a lip lift. 

Shortening the distance between the bottom of the nose and upper lip creates a more youthful appearance (see below)

It can also improve lip fullness and lip shape by defining the cupid’s bow (see below)

Am I a good candidate for a lip lift procedure? 

• If you want a more permanent solution to improve the fullness of your lips 
• If you want to shorten the distance between the base of the nose to the upper lip 
• If you want to address lip asymmetry and reduce fine lines around your lips

What to expect during the procedure?

• 1 hour long, minimally invasive procedure that can be performed with local or general anesthesia 
• Small incisions are made at the base of the nose in the natural crease (to hide any scars) 
• Stitches are then meticulously placed for optimal healing/outcomes
• Post Op/ Wound care instructions will be discussed in more detail

What to expect after the procedure?

• Minimal swelling and bruising at first that diminishes with time
• Minor discomfort that will be controlled with pain medications 
• Stitches will be removed in about 5-7 days
